No luggage needed for this trip! Swing by Hillcrest from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. to enjoy safe, physically distanced travel fun. Activities include silly passport photos, food samples from around the world, and a FREE Hillcrest Spring Break Shirt giveaway for the first 100 students.

Around the World in 15 Minutes: Netherlands
Katie (Lese) van den Berk ('14, '16M) is a great friend of Honors and a former JMU SCOM instructor. Katie received a Fulbright teaching grant in 2019, headed to Amsterdam and never left. She currently works at EesySoft, an educational technology company. Think a trip to Amsterdam may be in your future? Join us to hear from Katie at 12:00 p.m.

Go Bananas with the Cincinnati Zoo
Cell phones contain an ore called Coltan which is mined in endangered gorilla habitat in Africa. Reducing the demand for Coltan will help save these animals and their habitat. The Honors College is participating in Cincinnati Zoo's Go Bananas! Challenge to collect and recycle old cell phones. If you have an unused cell phone, a collection bin will be available in the Student Lab for the entire month of March. The BEST day to stop by by Hillcrest to recycle your old phone, however, is March 10 when you can also grab free goodies and food between 12:00 and 2:00. Circle the date on your calendar!

Alina Chavez Pustilnik is a new friend of Honors who currently resides in Mexico City. She's a 2020 graduate of NYU with a BA in Economics.
